Liyana is passionate about engaging girls and women on the topic of technology where she actively speaks and mentors on her expertise such as UI/UX, web & apps development and startup growth hacking.
She is currently researching on future food technologies where she contributes her insights on Association for Computing Machinery (ACM) magazine. In 2014, she pioneered a new research area with her professor studying the relationship between urban food commensality and technology design. Their research paper is published in Futures Journal, an international journal with focus on science, technology and society (STS) studies for the future.
Liyana holds a B.Soc.Sci (Hons) in Communications & New Media from NUS and is an alumni of the NUS Overseas College (NOC), Silicon Valley program.
